"What's this?" Phil lifted the heavy envelope off the table inside the palace suite.

"Oh. That's the invitation to Jiah's birthday celebration," Kwan replied. "My neck feels so much better, now."

"You slept for an hour, too. That could have something to do with it. When is this wing-ding happening?" She tapped the envelope with a finger.

"Next Wednesday. The envelope will list the dress requirements."

"Dress requirements?"

"There's always a theme. Last year, it was white and blue. What is it this time?"

"Um," Phil pulled the invitation from the envelope. "Let's see," she scanned the thick card. "Oh. Red and black."

"Then we must wear at least one of those colors," Kwan said.

"I don't have anything formal in either color," Phil informed him. "I brought a white dress."

"We will shop. I will buy," Kwan insisted.

"Can we do that in Busan tomorrow?"

"Of course. In fact, that is an excellent idea."

Both turned at the knock at their door. Kwan moved to answer. Tae Yong stood outside. "It seems that Min-ha, Min-Joon and Myeong are deeply embedded in Dal's doings, if your father's judgment is correct," he said the moment Kwan invited him inside.

"Does he have knowledge of their location?" Phil asked.

"He found traces of a lair, but when he and the guards arrived, they found it abandoned. Philomena, will you consent to go there—to search for spell residue?"

"I'll go," Phil nodded. "If Kwan comes with me."

"He and I will accompany you," Tae Yong replied. "I've left instructions that they should not touch anything until you deem it safe."

"Good. Thanks. We don't need a trap blowing up in our faces. What's the location?"

"I will explain on the way to the common entrance."
